Victory! 5-3 in the first final
Næstved – Roskilde 5-3 (only in english)
We did it guys, we did it! The hard work payed off, and we are now 1-0 ahead of mighty Roskilde before the next leg of the finals, which is scheduled for thursday at 17.00 danish time.
Hampus was simply incredible. He was behind but came back against Bentsen and Lundquist, where he showed his leadership, and of course his mentality and powerful rallies. What a player you are, Hampus! Thank you!
Next up was 20-years old Tomas Koldas who did his job by winning against the former Næstved player, Antoine Doyen, who is a really strong player, who has won the U-12 European championship at youth level.
Hampus – Allan 3-2
Tomas – Antoine 3-1
Magnus Månsson – Jens Lundqvist 2-3
Nikita Yarushin – Michael Maze 2-3 (after 10-8 in 5th set)
Hampus – Jens Lundquist 3-2
Magnus Månsson – Allan Bentsen 3-2
Tomas Koldas – Michael Maze 1-3
Nikita Yarushin – Antoine Doyen 3-1
A few points:
- What a player Hampus is, and his mentality is just second to none. He came back from matches were he was behind, but he kept on going like a boss.
- Jens Lundquist and Allan Bentsen’s level were just insane. Fantastic, and a joy to watch, so it was incredible that Månsson and Hampus were able to get 3 victories against them.
- A lot of the matches went to the final set, so a lot could happen when we face Roskilde this thursday. The gap between victory and defeat is really small.
- Magnus Månsson was incredible!
- And Tomas Koldas and Nikita Yarushin did what was expected, and perhaps surprised Roskilde a bit in the proces.
